John Adamson has been an Evanston resident since 1951 and a Realtor since 1977. Formerly sales manager and vice president of another local firm, John’s real estate experience includes residential and commercial sales, appraisal, property management and rehabbing. He is certified as a Seniors Real Estate Specialist.

By doing his best to make the experience of selling and purchasing real estate enjoyable for his clients, he has consistently been a top producer in real estate sales for over twenty-five years, achieving over $20 million in sales volume for the year 2003. John has recently been recognized by an independent marketing research firm as having placed in the top 1% of all agents in Northern Illinois (approximately 27,000).

While John’s primary focus has been residential sales, he also has extensive experience in the marketing of new construction developments, condominium conversions, and investment properties.

John and partner Sandra Brown co-own and manage the firm. As chairman of the North Shore Barrington Board of Realtors Professional Standards Committee, John chairs ethics and arbitration hearing. He has served on its Board of Directors and is a former member of the Evanston Housing Commission.

Adamson’s avocation of music ranges from singing in an award-winning barbershop quartet, “The Key Ingredient” to performing with the “Grateful Dads,” a 60’s rock band oriented to fund-raising for non-profit groups. Included in the National registry of “Who’s Who in America,” John is a thirteen year veteran of coaching girls’ grade school basketball and the YMCA’s father/daughter “Princess” program.

An avid Northwestern University Wildcats fan, John lives in Evanston with his wife Ann, three children and pet boxer, Penny.
