Matt Slattery
847-905-1220 (w)
Matt Slattery was born and raised on the North side of Chicago. He attended Loyola University Chicago where he earned a B.A. in History and English. While in college, Matt had the great opportunity to live and study in Rome, Italy for a year, enabling him to travel extensively throughout Europe. After graduation, Matt taught high school history for ten years in both Chicago and Highland Park, during which time he earned his Master’s Degree in the Teaching of History. In addition to teaching, Matt has coached basketball at both the grammar school and high school levels for over 10 years.
Matt has bought and sold investment properties for himself, including a 100-year old 3 flat in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood. After thoroughly enjoying the rehabbing of the property and the property management experience, Matt changed careers to focus full-time in real estate. Matt decided to join Lakeshore Partners because of the experience and expertise of its principals and its client focused philosophy.
“Being a realtor can often be very similar to teaching. Clients, like students, want to know important information in a logical, concise and understandable way. My first experiences in Real Estate were as a client, so I understand first hand the anxieties and pressures people feel when buying and selling their homes. My job is to make that process as simple, as informative and as easy as possible.”
Although focusing his business primarily on single-family homes and condominiums, Matt’s clients also benefit from his knowledge, expertise and experience of multi-unit investment properties.
